Mr. Morales
I have been blessed with the opportunity of teaching the Arts to students of Anywhere Elementary. I have the priviliege of having a large and supportive group of students and parents who are enthusiastic about our classroom, and our ideas. I wanted to encourage this enthusiasm and foster rich partnerships between parents and school, so I decided to create this blog to share all the experiences we have in our classrooms. We hope everyone enjoys it and we welcome all comments and suggestions.

What is Pop Art?
According to the ArtEncyclopedia, Pop Art is a style of art which explores the everyday imagery that is so much a part of contemporary consumer culture. Common sources of imagery include advertisements, consumer product packaging, celebrity photographs, and comic strips.
What are the Elements of Pop Art?
Some of the most obvious elements of Pop Art include: Color, Shape, Size, and texture. Some of the composition principle include unity, balance and pattern.

Looking at some of Warhol's most popular work what are some of the common elements we can find on these expressions of art? The following questionscan be answered as a student/parent team at home. I have spoken with my very good friend Dr. Michael Tomor, Director of the El Paso Museum of Art and he is excited to have us on Monday as his guest and he is looking forward to answer all they questions you might have. Parents, you are also invited to our field trip. For additional questions please email me at g.morales@anywhereelementary.edu
